HepCoalition.org is designed as a tool to support the development of an international advocacy movement for access to testing, treatment and support for people at high risk of HCV infection in low-income countries and middle-income, and particularly for people who use drugs and people co-infected with HIV and HCV.
Globally, over 58 million people are estimated to have hepatitis C virus (HCV). Despite the availability of all-oral, short-course direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) that treat all HCV genotypes, nearly half a million people die from this preventable, curable infection each year.
